Mission Statement
Pakistan Journal of Commerce and Social Sciences (PJCSS) is a peer reviewed journal founded in 2008 with the mission of providing high quality scientific content to academic researchers and business practitioners. It focuses to provide intellectually stimulating forum where researchers can share their ideas, experiments, commerce related themes and topics in a friendly, supportive and thought provoking environment. The editorial board of PJCSS is committed to promote the journal as one of the leading and globally reputable essential reading in contemporary commerce during the next five years to come.
Credit towards Tenure and Promotion
Pakistan Journal of Commerce and Social Sciences (PJCSS) has gained the status of HEC recognized/accredited journal in 2010 after passing a rigorous quality standards related to peer review documentation, published papers and abstracting/indexing of content. Papers published in PJCSS are accepted for credit towards appointment and promotion of faculty members in higher education institutes/universities of Pakistan. These papers are further accepted for assessment of HEC Approved Supervisors and publication requirement of research work for the award of PhD degree.
Aim and Scope
Pakistan Journal of Commerce and Social Sciences (PJCSS) is tri-annual open access journal published by Johar Education Society (a registered non profit institution) in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Pakistan. It is devoted to the study of commerce, business and economics. It attempts to publish quality research focusing on multi-disciplinary and inter-disciplinary empirical research related to full range of commerce and cognate disciplines. Since the foundation of PJCSS in 2008, the journal had been accepting submissions in all discipline of social sciences. But, now, after the current guidelines of Higher Education Commission (the regulatory body), scope of PJCSS has been reduced to commerce, business and economics only. Further quantitative research with strong data analysis would only be processed for peer review.
PJCSS has completed its 10th volume and likes to move towards higher standards and strict control over submissions in accordance with the new reduced domain (commerce, business and economics rather than wide domain of all social sciences previously) following the latest guidelines of HEC. PJCSS is committed to make a positive impact through research endeavors containing substantial and original contributions on latest emerging topics focusing on Asian markets in the following areas:

Higher Education Commission (HEC), Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training (Government of Pakistan) discourages its recognized/accredited and funded journals to charge any type of publishing fee. Rather HEC indicates its recognized/accredited journals to focus on publishing and providing high quality scientific content to Pakistani business practitioners and scholarly community. In this way, there is no publication fee or submission/review charges for all authors intended to submit their research endeavors to PJCSS.
